As a musician, he had a few highlights. One is having a song featured in a film by Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, and performing at a private screening for the film in Delhi. He also received invitations to places like New York. But he was in school and didn’t go. Now that he finished high school, the pandemic has made opportunities like that scarce. Sometimes he wish he’d taken them when they’d come. But he know why he didn’t. A musical career has limited scope here. He always trying to find new ways to sustain himself as a musician.
They have immense musical talent there, they just need to be more creative. There are so many competitive, driven, and unique new artists. His style of songwriting and singing is also different. It all depends on our sources of inspiration. He face many struggles such as copyright infringements. But a career in what you love is worth it. He advise all aspiring artists to have determination if they truly want to make this their career.
They all need support, and the audience is immensely important to artists like him. He grateful for everyone who has supported him and loved his music, within Bhutan and around the world.”
